Very caring, very understanding.
Lots of work--not easy classes, but very rewarding and actually applicable outside the classroom.
One of the best professors here or anywhere, in my opinion.

Mary is the number one reason to study at Occidental. She is not only witty, intelligent, caring, and made from genius material, but is also intense about learning and teaching and a good friend to work with when trying to achieve a goal. Mary assigns work that is relevant to the teaching profession and will help you on your way to becomming an excellent elementary level teacher. She brings life to learning which is what every teacher/professor should do!
