I like Homiak. She's entertaining and her classes are insightful. She takes a little getting used to, but once you get the hang of her class, it's incredibly fun. Make sure you talk to her about all your paper topics, because you don't want to disagree with her opinions.

A good lecturer, flexible with paper deadlines, she will take great pains to make sure you understand the material. Don't expect to cover alot of material in her classes and don't write a paper that disagrees with her views on a philosopher.

Such a sweet prof! She really wants you to learn and wants to challenge you. Grading is a bit harder than average but I really liked the class.

Comments:
Professor Homiak is a very thoughtful professor who is willing to take the time and effort to challange students to form their own opions about philosophy. But be warned, you'll have to really understand what you're reading before you get to go off on some philosophical tangent--cuts down on the bullshit though. Her classes will seem slow at first but you'll probably figure out thats just because she doesn't want you to think on a superficial level.

Comments:
Does not allow true discussion; we are forced to simply regurgitate what is in the readings ad infinitum, and at such a slow pace that I am bored out of my mind.
